BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE est un groupe de metal originaire de Bridgend, au sud du Pays de Galles. La formation, composée de Matthew 'Matt' Tuck (chant, guitare), Michael 'Padge' Paget (guitare), Jason 'Jay' James (basse) et Michael 'Moose' Thomas (batterie), naît en 1997 et commence par jouer des reprises de ses idoles comme Nirvana, ou encore Metallica. En 2002, les musiciens enregistrent un CD deux titres, You/Play With Me, et change de nom à plusieurs reprises avant d'adopter BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, qui qualifie leur musique, un mélange de violence dans leurs instrumentales et d'amour dans leurs textes.

En 2004, le groupe livre un maxi single éponyme, suivi d'un second toujours super , Hand of Blood, un an plus tard. La même année, il sort son premier album intitulé The Poison, puis entame une grande tournée aux Etats-Unis avec Rob Zombie. En 2008, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE revient avec Scream Aim Fire.
